From June 1st to 30th 2025, join Francophiles from all around the world – of all ages and all levels – as we engage our brains 🧠 and boost our ability to speak and understand real, everyday French👂.
In this challenge, you’ll improve your spoken French 🗣️ as we uncover the hidden gems of Paris 🗝️ — from secret gardens 🌿 to tucked-away museums 🖼️ and little-known local favorites off the touristy path🥖.
Each week, you’ll be introduced to new spots 🗺️ with content that helps you learn the vocabulary 📚 expressions 💬 and pronunciation 👄 you’d use on your next trip to Paris!
But what you’ll learn isn’t just useful for your next trip to Paris ✈️. You’ll build lasting skills in real, everyday spoken French 🗣️, with a special focus on cultural insight, natural pronunciation, and useful vocabulary you’ll actually remember 🧠.

Here's how it works
Each week, we'll unlock a new "chapter" where we'll explore a different hidden part of Paris.
Chapter 1: Romantic Spots
Uncover some of Paris’s most beautiful, idyllic, and intimate locations 🌸—the secret gardens 🌿, quiet riverbanks 🌊, and hidden corners that make the City of Love so magical 💑. You’ll learn how to describe scenic places, share your impressions, and talk about romantic getaways in French 🗣️.
Chapter 2: Architecture
Get to know the gorgeous and unusual buildings 🏗️ that lie off the beaten path in Paris. From curious façades 🪟 to lesser-known landmarks 🏛️, you’ll practice vocabulary for describing architecture, asking questions about history, and expressing your amazement 😮.
Chapter 3: Food
Discover hidden foodie treasures 🍽️ across Paris: artisanal bakeries 🥖, tucked-away cafés ☕, and markets full of fresh delights 🧺. You’ll learn how to chat naturally about your favorite dishes, place confident orders, and ask locals for their best-kept dining secrets 😋.
Chapter 4: Museums
Explore Paris’s most interesting museums 🏤 — some you may have never even heard of! (Spoiler: no Louvre here. 😉) This week, you’ll expand your vocabulary for discussing art 🎨 and culture 🎭 and practice the phrases you’d need to plan the perfect museum visit.
Each chapter follows a structured yet fun 7-day schedule:
DAY 1: I’ll share a short presentation, dialogue, or conversation in real, everyday (fast) spoken French 🎧. Don’t worry—you’ll get a transcript 📄 too! Listen carefully to see how much you understand 👂.
DAY 2:We’ll go over yesterday’s text and I’ll explain the vocabulary 📚 and pronunciation 👄 so you can work on your accent and become more familiar with the aspects of spoken French.
DAY 3: Listen to a French resource related to the theme of the week. For example, we might watch a short clip explaining the architecture of Paris 🏛️. Can you repeat what you’ve heard? 🔁 Do you understand everything? 🤔
DAY 4: We’ll explore yesterday’s dialogue in depth and you’ll learn some everyday “slang” 😎 around the weekly topic (i.e., words that French people actually use in these situations!).
DAY 5: Time for a quick quiz! ❓ What new words do you remember so far? I’ll also share a culture-focused bonus 🎭 around the week’s topic.
DAY 6:You’ll get access to a complete vocabulary list 🗒️ about this week’s topic, including ready-made sentences 💬 that YOU can use in your French conversations, bonus content 🎁, and this week’s lessons in a downloadable, easy-to-read PDF 📥.
DAY 7: It’s your day off! We’ll play a fun game 🎲 about the topic of the week, and you’ll get some “extra mile” bonus documents 📑 that you can explore if you have time ⏳.
🔁 We rinse and repeat this schedule 4 times until we’ve covered each chapter. 🔁
Then, on the final day, we’ll do a final quiz to see how much you’ve retained 🧠.

The 30-Day French Challenge is not designed for complete beginners. Ideally you will have studied some French before (even if for just one semester in school 40 years ago).

I’m a French woman (Paris-born, now living in the Alps) with a passion for sharing my love for French language and culture! Frequently Asked Questions
How long do I have to complete the daily challenges?
As long as you need. There is no time pressure to complete the ‘challenge of the day’. If you need to skip a day or two, or if you’d rather cover an entire chapter’s worth of content every Sunday morning, that’s okay! None of the content is delivered live, and all of the content will remain available after the challenge has completed, so you can catch up whenever it works best for you.
Will I still have access to the material after the 30 days?
Yes, you will continue to have access to the content after the Challenge is over. As with all of our courses, you retain lifetime access!
I've done a Challenge before. Do I need to create a new account?
If you joined the Lyon Challenge in April 2025 and/or the 10 Merveilles Challenge in May 2025, if you already own one of our premium courses, and/or are a member of The French Conversation Club, you’re all set! You’ll be able to log in with the same account and access everything in one place.
Otherwise, you will need to create a new account on our private course platform when you join the Challenge.

Is this a one-time payment?
