From July 1st to 30th, 2026, join Francophiles from all around the world — of all ages and all levels — as we engage our brains 🧠 and boost our ability to speak and understand real, everyday French 👂.
In this challenge, you’ll improve your spoken French 🗣️ as we explore the conversations that matter most — the ones about real life. Not just surviving small talk, but actually connecting : talking about your travels, sharing what you love, discussing the big moments that shaped you.
Every 6 days, we’ll cover a new topic with the vocabulary 📚, expressions 💬, and pronunciation 👄 you’ll actually use in deeper conversations 🇫🇷
What you’ll practice isn’t just useful for a trip. You’ll build real, lasting skills in everyday spoken French — with a special focus on personal expression, natural conversation flow, and the kind of vocabulary that sticks because it’s about things you actually know and care about 🧠.

Here's how it works
Every 6 days, we'll unlock a new chapter, each one exploring a different conversation that matters — so you can talk about your travels, your passions, the food you love, the life you've lived, and the world you come from, with more confidence and more natural French every step of the way.
Chapter 1 : Mes voyages
✈️ Learn to talk about your travels the way French people actually do — not just “it was beautiful,” but the specific stories, the surprising moments, the people you met. You’ll pick up natural expressions for sharing experiences and opinions, and discover the cultural nuances around how the French talk about where they’ve been (and where they haven’t).
Chapter 2 : Arts & Âme
🎨 Talking about what you love — books, films, music, art — is one of the fastest ways to connect with someone in any language. In this chapter, you’ll learn how to share your tastes, ask good questions, and keep a cultural conversation going beyond “c’est bien.” Real French people talk about what moves them. You will too.
Chapter 3 : À table
🍽️ Food is never just food in France — it’s a whole conversation. In this chapter, you’ll learn to talk about what you cook, what you love to eat, what you miss, and what you discovered at the market. You’ll hear how the French discuss cuisine in everyday life, and pick up the vocabulary and expressions to join that conversation naturally.
Chapter 4 : La belle vie
☀️ Some of the richest conversations happen around life’s big transitions — retirement, moving countries, becoming a grandparent, starting something new. In this chapter, you’ll learn to talk about these moments with warmth and depth : the words to share your own experience, and the questions to invite someone else to share theirs.
Chapter 5 : Chez vous, chez nous
🌍 Comparing cultures is one of the most interesting conversations you can have with a French person — but it takes a little tact and a lot of the right vocabulary. In this chapter, you’ll learn how to talk about differences and similarities honestly and warmly, without falling into clichés. Including the cultural nuances around what to say, what to avoid, and how to make a French person laugh with you instead of at you.
Each chapter follows a structured yet fun 6-day schedule:
DAY 1: Watch a short video 🎥 in French (with English subtitles!) and follow along with the transcript 📄.
DAY 2: Repeat after me 👄 Practice sentences that you can use to talk about yourself
DAY 3: Listen to a French dialogue 🎧 with a neighbor. Can you repeat what you hear? 🔁
DAY 4: More French dialogue 🎧, this time at a friend’s gathering 🗣️✨
DAY 5: Time for a short quiz! ❓ What do you understand so far? Let’s check in and celebrate your progress 🎉
DAY 6: We’ll play a fun game 🎲 and you’ll get a chance to explore resources for fun
🔁 We repeat this schedule for 5 chapters — each one focused on a new element of personal, meaningful French conversations!
And at the end of the Challenge, you’ll take a final quiz to see just how far you’ve come 🧠🥳

The 30-Day French Challenge is not designed for complete beginners. Ideally you will have studied some French before (even if for just one semester in school 40 years ago).

Salut ! Moi c’est Géraldine Lepère.
I’m a French woman (Paris-born, now living in the Alps) with a passion for sharing my love for French language and culture! I started Comme une Française in 2012 and have since helped more than 13,100 alumni learn to confidently understand and speak real, modern French through my paid programs – not to mention taught more than 7 million French learners through my weekly YouTube lessons.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long do I have to complete the daily challenges?
As long as you need. There is no time pressure to complete the ‘challenge of the day’. If you need to skip a day or two, or if you’d rather cover an entire chapter’s worth of content every Sunday morning, that’s okay! None of the content is delivered live, and all of the content will remain available after the challenge has completed, so you can catch up whenever it works best for you.
Will I still have access to the material after the 30 days?
Yes, you will continue to have access to the content after the Challenge is over. As with all of our courses, you retain lifetime access!
I've done a Challenge before. Do I need to create a new account?
If you joined a Challenge since April of 2025, if you already own one of our premium courses, and/or are a member of The French Conversation Club, you’re all set! You’ll be able to log in with the same account and access everything in one place.
Otherwise, you will need to create a new account on our private course platform when you join the Challenge.
