Over the next 30 days, we’re going to tackle the everyday situations that come up most in real life in France — so you can stop freezing and start actually handling them. Each activity should take no more than 15 minutes a day.

Our Theme & Dates

The content for this ‘French for Real Life’ edition of the 30-Day French Challenge will be delivered from Thursday, October 1st until Friday, October 30th.

Here’s a quick preview of the topics we’ll be covering together:

Chapter 1 : Une Belle Matinée
Start your day the French way 🥐 — ordering at the boulangerie, chatting over coffee, and navigating the market like a local. You’ll pick up the natural expressions and pronunciation that make these everyday exchanges feel smooth and confident, not stressful.

Chapter 2 : The City is Yours
Get where you need to go 🗺️ — asking for directions, buying metro tickets, and moving through a French city with ease. This chapter gives you the vocabulary and real-life phrases to handle getting around, even when things don’t go quite as planned.

Chapter 3 : Life Happens en Français
Shopping for a gift, trying on clothes, picking up something at the pharmacy 💊 — this chapter covers the practical situations that come up whether you’re ready for them or not. You’ll learn how to ask the right questions, understand the answers, and walk away with what you actually needed.

Chapter 4 : Allô ?
Phone calls in French are their own challenge 📞 — no facial expressions, no time to think, no way to point at the menu. This chapter gives you the phrases, the rhythm, and the confidence to handle a simple call without freezing up the moment someone picks up.

Chapter 5 : More than a Tourist
The conversations that turn a trip into a real experience 🤝 — getting to know someone, making plans together, and connecting with French people beyond the pleasantries. Because the best moments in France are always the ones you didn’t plan for.

How to access the Challenge

If you haven’t done so already, you will need to purchase this course to receive access to the Challenge once it starts.

👉 Please note that the Challenge contents will be made available here, in the course platform. The daily content will not be emailed to you directly – so please be sure to bookmark this page and keep the link somewhere safe!

In this community, you’ll also be able to share your thoughts, experiences, and questions about the daily challenges, and connect with other people who love to learn more about French and French culture – just like you! 😄

How to get quick answers to your questions

We love hearing from you and seeing you connect with your fellow Challengers. Here are some guidelines to help you get the most out of the 30-day French Challenge and the fastest answers to any questions you may have.

• To ask a question or comment on a lesson: Use the comments section for the day’s lesson, and a member of our team will reply to it as soon as we can. This is also a great place to tell us what you learned, answer a question that was asked in the lesson, and support and encourage your fellow students. (Please keep commentary focused on lesson related topics.) Don’t be afraid to write in French, even if you make mistakes. ❤️
• To get technical or account support: Please email us at help@commeunefrancaise.com. We will not answer technical or account questions in the comments sections of lessons (it becomes messy and confusing for everyone!). 🛠️
